SERVE Sundays—May 29 & June 5

Serving at New Day is more than just filling empty positions with people–it is about getting every member at New Day connected, engaged, and using their God-given gifts! It is possible to attend church without serving, but you won’t get the most out of it and it is very likely you won’t feel connected. Be encouraged to consider increasing your involvement and commit to serving on SERVE Sundays so you can grow and God can pour into your life as you pour into others!

Notice something missing? The pass-through window has been removed from the kitchen! $2000 Given to New Day SC!
Great job New Day! The $2000 we sent to the Joneses and New Day South Carolina was even more of a blessing than we had hoped–it paid off a burdensome debt they were expecting to be under for the next year! Having this debt gone will make it easier for the Joneses to apply for a home loan. Thank you for being so generous and blessing our daughter church so much!

Don’t you love change!
We are praying for God to enable us to be more effective in extending His Kingdom in Kalamazoo. And we are praying that God will enable us to hold onto more of those who visit our Sunday services. Because we believe that our prayers are going to be answered, we have added 50 chairs to the sanctuary. In order to fit that many chairs, we also arranged them differently. Our vision is to make room for answered prayer!
The arrangement also enables worshipers to see more of the congregation, rather than looking forward. Both sides are angled so that everyone will see a large number of others. This is highly recommended as it creates more of a community feel, and seeing others worship stimulates worship. We have tried to do this in a way that does not limit the room for dancing, prophetic art and traffic flow.
It may feel more “empty” but that is intended. We want the room to not feel full. This is similar to when we went to two services and it took a while for both services to fill up. The same dynamic will apply with this arrangement. When we started 2 services there was a significant difference in the attendance between 1st and 2nd service. It was interesting to see that the attendance of both services have over time leveled out to almost exactly the same. Each service has leveled out to be almost exactly the percentage that experts say will make a room seem full which then can unintentionally limit growth.
Let’s all believe God for the house to be full of worship and worshippers!
Thanks,
Pastor Cameron
