Special Guest Speakers!
Please welcome Seth and Sarah Gerber who are sharing on Sunday, November 20th while Pastor Cameron ministers in Japan. Our November 27th guest speaker will be Mark Morris!

Become You Weekend at Iglesia
Seth and Sarah Gerber are hosting Become You Healing & Restoration Weekend at the Iglesia, 632 Locust St. Sessions will be Friday Dec 2, 7-9 PM and Saturday Dec 3 10-12 AM and 1-3 PM.  Each session is different, so plan to attend any or all of them to learn keys to unlock healing in your heart. Become who God has made you to be and effectively do what God has put in your heart to do!

Pastor Cameron and his wife Kathie were so honored by the outpouring of love and support at their 50th Birthday Party! The gifts, cards, and most of all the presence of their beloved New Day Family made the day a most memorable occasion. A special thank you to all whose effort made the day possible, and a BIG thank you for your contributions towards their mission trip to Japan—by God’s grace $11,000 was raised and the trip was paid in full!

The Japan Mission Team
are ministering to our sister church, Hope International Fellowship and to the earthquake and Tsunami hit areas of Japan. Please be praying for safe travel and good weather so that they can minister effectively in the disaster zone!

Christmas and New Year Services
Will be held from 11:00 AM—12:00 PM. We will have just one service each day to give you more time to celebrate with your family.

For the New Day Christmas Party! The party of the year is coming soon, so sign up to get involved. You’ll need to sign your family up to come, and you’ll want to sign up to display your talent. Much help is needed to make the party possible, so sign up to help with set up, clean up, decorating, or stage crew. If you missed last week’s bulletin insert grab one from the Connection Counter to learn all the details.
Kid’s names are still available for the gift exchange, so sign up during intersection or after 2nd service to get the name of a child to buy for.   Funds are also being raised to bless our youth!

Spiritual Gifts Class
Interested in learning more about your spiritual gifts? Pastor Cameron and Mark Morris will be teaching a class January 14th and 21st where you can discover your gifts and learn how to use them. Mark your calendars and plan to attend this valuable teaching!

Community Worship Night
Come out and worship with us on Friday, December 2nd from 5:30 to 8:30 PM! This is a great time to hang out with people who love Jesus and see what WorshipArts is doing in the lives of young people in our area. Three amazing worship teams will be serving, as well as the drama team and message team! This means that there will be awesome worship, thought-provoking dramas, and moving short sermons. These students are filled up and ready to pour themselves out for God and for the body of Christ—help us fill the room with a bunch of Christians excited about worshiping God!

Our new sermon series “Is It Relative? Living Morally in an Amoral World” concludes Sunday, November 13th (if you missed the first part of the series you can download the podcast on our website). Also, check out the Worship Photography exhibit in the entryway by Tim Larsen, companion to this series. On Sunday, November 20th, Seth and Sarah Gerber will be filling in for Pastor Cameron as he ministers in Japan!

Wrights’ 50th Birthday Celebration
Come out and honor Pastor Cameron and his wife Kathie on Sunday, November 133th from 2:30-4:00 PM! The Wrights have been serving our congregation for 30 years, and we want to show our love for them for their 50th Birthdays! In lieu of gifts, the Wrights would be blessed by contributions towards the mission trip.

Help The Wrights Go To Japan!
Pastor Cameron and his family will be going to Japan this week with the Japan Mission Team. Funds are still needed for the Wrights and other members of the team, and November 13th is the last day to support this international outreach! You can help by placing your donation in an offering envelope marked “Wrights” or by donating directly on the New Day website. Donations for other members of the Japan team may also be placed in an envelope marked with their name.

Family Fun Night at Bounceland!
Come to our MOPS fundraiser on Monday, November 7th from 5-7 PM. Admission is $8 for kids; adults are free.  Our MOPS group receives 25% of admissions and concessions, so plan on purchasing an Erbelli’s pizza for dinner too! Bouceland is an indoor inflatable fun park, located at 6255 Technology Ave. off of 9th Street.  For more information visit www.bounceland.com.  You may arrive 15 minutes early to sign the liability waiver and don’t forget to wear socks!

Is It Relative?
A new sermon series “Is It Relative? Living Morally in an Amoral World” begins Sunday, October 30th. Who do you believe? What is the truth? How do you find it? Where are you looking? Pastor Cameron addresses these important questions in a real, relevant way. The series will continue through November 13th.

A Japan Fund-Raiser Art Show
Will be held Sunday, October 30th during Intersection and after second service. Artists Katie Duke, Carrie Hays, and Will Hays will be displaying and selling their artwork, and proceeds will go towards their expenses for the upcoming Japan mission trip.

Communion Sunday—November 6th!
Every monthly communion Sunday we collect non-perishable food, clothing in good condition, unopened toiletry items, toys in like-new condition, and other donations that will be taken to local ministries for distribution. Also, don’t forget Daylight Savings begins November 6th—be sure to set your clocks back an hour so you’ll be here at the right time!

Leaf Raking Outreach
New Day Community Church is partnering with Dwell to reach out to the Vine Neighborhood in Kalamazoo. The outreach will be held this Saturday, October 29th from 1-5 PM. Participants will meet at the Iglesia located in the Vine Neighborhood. We need LOTS of volunteers to rake leaves, but we also need a few volunteers to hang out at the Iglesia to pass out coffee, doughnuts, and cider. Sign up TODAY on Facebook!

Carrie Hays is hosting an Open House Friday, October 14 · 6:00pm - 10:00pm at her home studio, 3841 W F Ave. Geijutsu is Japanese for art and the open house is for three artists—Carrie Hays, Will Hays, and Katie Duke—who feel called to participate in a missions trip to help with the rebuilding efforts in Japan. Artwork will be sold in an effort to raise funds for the trip and some of the artists will be practicing their crafts during the open house.

will hold a Treasure Sale on Friday, October 14 from 8 am  – 5 pm and Saturday, October 15 from 8 – 2 pm at Second CRC, 3015 Nichols Road.

Communion Sunday—October 2nd!
Please keep your children with you as we worship and share Communion as a family. They will be dismissed to their classes after worship. This Sunday Pastor Cameron is also beginning “Filled” a new series on living a Spirit-filled life. Don’t forget to check out the new photography series in the foyer!

What’s YOUR Favorite Candy?
Bring some to share! We’re collecting donations of wrapped candy for goodie bags for the kids at Autumn Fest. Please place your donations in the bin in the family room by October 9th.

The Call—Detroit 11/11/11
Join thousands in fasting and/or praying at The Call at Ford Field in Detroit on 11/11/11 to see America turn back to God.  Sign up on the Connection Card if you are interested. See Seth and Sarah Gerber for details. The 40 day fast begins October 3rd!
