Life Groups

The purpose of Life Groups are to be the church through Fellowship, Discipleship and Outreach. Every group has at least one of these as a focus—most are a combination! Everyone is encouraged to participate in at least one group, and may join several. “Semesters” last 4 months, then we have a sign-up Sunday for a new set of Life Groups, but you may join at any time.

New Day Youth Group
A great time for fellowship and getting closer to God for those 6th through 12th grade! (Year-long Group)

Dwell
For young adults 18+. Pursuing God and neighborhood outreach. (Year-long Group)

MOPS
To encourage, equip, and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a wife, friend, mother, and leader! Come out for fun, fellowship, and to grow together. (Year-long Group)

Rain
A time to seek the Lord, worship, pray, intercede for the US, MI, and Kzoo and Declare life, the purposes and heart of God. Aligning with the focus of The Call Detroit on 11/11/11 – to lift each other up in the midst of any fast.

Between The Lines
Encouraging book study reading The Divine Romance by Gene Edwards.

Standing on the Shoulders of Giants
Cherry pick through a book, Devotional Classics, w/ select excerpts from “spiritual gurus” (Lewis, Bonhoeffer, etc) that have paved the way for our church today and apply their principles personally.

Purple Book
12-part Bible Study to equip you to stand firm and grow strong in your Christian life.

Tortoises & Hares
Walkers/runners do a 40 min loop, and meet at a coffee shop.

C2-2.2 (Couch to-2.2 Miles)
New this year, is a WEEKLY training track for beginners! Weekly schedule of walking gradually adding increments of running, with a target of a community run on New Year’s Day 2.2 miles in length.  Mini workshops will be included every other week.

We Are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
Developing a knowledgeable, healthy attitude toward food.

Strategy Game Night
Come conquer with your intense wit and cunning through strategy games including Risk, Settlers of Catan, Axis and Allies, Chess, Duel of Ages, and Stratego, to name a few.

Men’s Group
Fellowship and fun for men, group activities and service projects.

Needles For Jesus
Sharing our gifts of needlework with others. Includes crocheting, knitting, cross stitch, etc.!

Dance!
Learn scripture & explore dance in worship!
