Guest Speaker—Graham McKeague Sunday February 19th
Please welcome Graham McKeague, who will be sharing part 2 of “Following Jesus in the Digital Age”. Graham and his wife Jill, serve as Worship and Missions leaders at New Day.
Kitchen (temporarily) closed!
Due to renovations, the kitchen will be reserved for nursing moms only for the next 2 Sundays during services. Please avoid using the kitchen to give moms the privacy they need! Snacks will be available at the coffee counter.

Coming March 4—Pastor Mitko!
While Bulgaria was under a communist regime Pastor Mitko was arrested many times & persecuted for his faith. In 1989 he and his wife Albena founded an underground church. Their ministry is a part of Global Celebration under Georgian & Winnie Banov, and they are now senior Pastors of the largest River Church in Bulgaria.

Kaitlin Ives is teaching a series designed to help anyone who works with kids or youth to assist and accommodate children with special needs. This 4 week class meets Monday nights in February from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at New Day. There is no charge, and snacks and beverages are provided. Childcare is not provided. “Devoted” Women’s Retreat
Ladies, mark your calendars and plan to attend April 20th-22nd. The Retreat will be held at Michindoh Retreat Center in Hillsdale, and is sure to be an experience that will build you up in your faith and friendships. Cost is $120 for 2 nights and 6 meals; reserve your spot and pay your $50 deposit by March 11th. Flyers are available at the Connection Counter with more information. Don’t miss it!

Yes, it’s time to get your reservations for the annual New Day Camp-out! We will be trying a new place this year—Yankee Springs! Come enjoy fellowship in the great outdoors with your New Day family, with opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing, swimming and of course food and fun! The dates are August 10-12. The cost will be $54.00 per space, as in past years, and must be reserved and paid by February 5th. Place your payment in a collection envelope marked “Camping Trip” Don’t miss it!
Growth is happening!!
This week construction begins on turning Pastor Cameron’s office into a classroom! This means the Nursing Mom’s Room will temporarily be located in the Kitchen, and the snack bar will be in the foyer for the next 3 Sundays. Kaitlin Ives
will be teaching a series of classes designed to help Sunday School teachers, Nursery workers, and Youth Group leaders to effectively work with special needs children. The goal is to educate the workers on how to assist and accommodate children with special needs in their classrooms. The classes will be every Monday night in February beginning Feb 6th from 6pm-8pm at New Day. There is no charge, and snacks and beverages are provided. Childcare will not be provided, but youth are welcome to join with the adults! Contact Kaitlin Ives for more information.

Forgot your checkbook?
The best way to give your offering from home is simple and free. Use your bank or Credit Union’s bill pay feature. Have the bank or credit union send the money to New Day Community Church, 3600 Nichols Rd., Kalamazoo, MI 49004. If an account number is required just type “offering” – which normally works. Offerings that come in this way will be entered as Tithes. If you wish to designate an offering for a specific ministry you’ll need to note that designation on the bill pay form (most come with a note or memo option). We also accept offerings through PayPal on our website!

MOPS—Mothers Of Preschoolers
Meets monthly at New Day. MOPS is open to all moms of children from birth to Kindergarten. Moms meet together for support and activities while their children are nurtured and taught in a fun age appropriate environment. The next meeting is Wednesday, January 11th at 9:00 AM. Please join us!

Every monthly communion Sunday we collect non-perishable food, clothing in good condition, unopened toiletry items, toys in like-new condition, and other donations that will be taken to local ministries for distribution.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. 20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”
22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
24 Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, 25 and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name JESUS.

Our sister church in Japan, won their bid they and are now the owners of a four story building! They had been renting two of the floors but now have complete control of twice the space. Praising God for His favor and providence to this vital ministry!

Let’s Go Camping!
Yes there’s snow on the ground and we’re eagerly anticipating Christmas, but it’s not too early to be thinking about the annual New Day Camping Trip! Reservations must be made months in advance to accommodate a group our size, so we need to be planning now.
Due to cost and other considerations, we will not be camping at Cran Hill Ranch as previously announced. We need your input into the decision on where we do camp this year. Please fill out the bulletin insert survey to let us know if you intend to camp with us next summer and what your preference is as to location. Place this in the offering basket or the drop box in the foyer. Alternatively, you can go the New Day website and give us your input there—this week only!
