SERVE Sunday—May 29 and June 5
This is your opportunity to see where you can use your gifts to serve others and support the vital ministries of New Day. Serving at New Day is more than just filling empty positions with people–it is about getting every member at New Day connected, engaged, and using their God-given gifts! It is possible to attend church without serving, but you won’t get the most out of it and it is very likely you won’t feel connected. Be encouraged to consider increasing your involvement and commit to serving on SERVE Sundays so you can grow and God can pour into your life as you pour into others!
Communion Sunday—June 5!
Every monthly communion Sunday we collect non-perishable food, clothing in good condition, unopened toiletry items, toys in like-new condition, and other donations that will be taken to local ministries for distribution.
Raising money for Rahki and Durai
This is a precious missionary couple that Heather Hays met during her time at the Toronto School of Ministry. They are in India and need some heavenly financial intervention. Durai is dealing with a detached retina that is causing him to lose his vision in one eye. The couple is expecting their first child in the first part of June and needs 40 thousand rupees ($904.00 American dollars) for the delivery. If God compels your heart to support this couple please see Heather Hays or Carrie Hays.
Jesus Loves Kzoo—July 11th-14th
Jesus Loves Kzoo is a united effort among Christ-following churches in the area. We are partnering together to increase the IMPACT to our city as we FLOOD Kalamazoo with the LOVE of the LORD JESUS CHRIST! Coordinated by Vanguard Street Ministries, this will be the fourth year of holding “Jesus Loves Kzoo Grill & Prayer Nights” from 5 PM – 8 PM Mon-Thurs during one week in the summer. The Spirit has moved in a big way each year and we are expecting an increase! Free food is given to anyone who comes and prayer teams spread out and minister on the streets. Anyone who loves Jesus and wants to see His Kingdom reign in our city can participate! You can volunteer one night — or all four! For more information, contact Tori Webb at the church office!
Thank You New Day!!
(A message from Kim Sandelin of Love INC) Dear brothers and sisters at New Day: My wife Cathy and I so enjoyed worshiping with you this past Sunday. You made us feel right at home and we were very blessed and positively impacted by both services. The peace and presence of God are very real at New Day. Thank-you also for your generous contribution to Love INC. I am humbled by this outpouring of support for our ministry. Jesus truly does love Kalamazoo and I believe that together we – the Body of Christ – will be used by the Lord to bring wonderful transformation to our community. I praise God for all of you and look forward to seeing how Love INC may join with you in fulfilling the mission and purpose the Lord has given you as you serve Him and the greater Kalamazoo area. Serving Jesus with you, Kim Sandelin.
