Parents, please keep your children with you this Sunday as we celebrate Communion as a family. They will be dismissed to their classrooms after worship.

Old Testament Survey

Don’t forget to check out the new photography exhibit in the entry way which corresponds to this new sermon series, and read the statement by artist Jill McKeague!

New Day SC Turns 2 Sunday April 3rd!
New Day South Carolina are celebrating their 2nd Anniversary, and  Pastor Cameron and his family will be ministering there to bless our daughter congregation and to celebrate with them. Please pray that God will continue to show His favor to Scott and Stephanie Jones and our South Carolina church plant!

Easter Sunrise Service!
Join us dark and early on April 24th at 6:40 AM for our annual celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord! We will again be at the Mountain Home Cemetery, 1402 West Main Street (across from Henderson Castle). Normal church services will take place at the regular times at New Day as well, but this spectacular sunrise celebration is worth getting up early for!

Chairs and Growth!
You may have noticed the new layout of the chairs in the sanctuary–this is because we believe that God has promised to send more people to New Day! We want to take great care of every person God sends through our doors, and making room for them is one way we  can do this.  By changing the layout, we were able to add 50 chairs! Remember, as Pastor Cameron says, the best way to extend the Kingdom is one to one. We have made room; be encouraged to share the Kingdom!

Angel Food Orders
Angel Food orders will be taken during intersection and after second service. Orders for the April 23 distribution date must be placed by April 10th. Please also note the new distribution time of 8:30-10:00 Saturday mornings. See Pat and Dave Musall for more info.

Take a Walk on the Wild Side
Of the church, that is! Did you know that behind the building there is beautiful acreage and a nicely kept walking trail, complete with bench? Now that spring is here, we are inviting the church to take a stroll and prayer walk in the peace of God’s amazing creation!

Making Room for Answered Prayer!

Don’t you love change!

We are praying for God to enable us to be more effective in extending His Kingdom in Kalamazoo.  And we are praying that God will enable us to hold onto more of those who visit our Sunday services.  Because we believe that our prayers are going to be answered, we have added 50 chairs to the sanctuary.  In order to fit that many chairs, we also arranged them differently.  Our vision is to make room for answered prayer!

The arrangement also enables worshipers to see more of the congregation, rather than looking forward.  Both sides are angled so that everyone will see a large number of others.  This is highly recommended as it creates more of a community feel, and seeing others worship stimulates worship.  We have tried to do this in a way that does not limit the room for dancing, prophetic art and traffic flow.

It may feel more “empty” but that is intended.  We want the room to not feel full.  This is similar to when we went to two services and it took a while for both services to fill up.  The same dynamic will apply with this arrangement. When we started 2 services there was a significant difference in the attendance between 1st and 2nd service.  It was interesting to see that the attendance of both services have over time leveled out to almost exactly the same.    Each service has leveled out to be almost exactly the percentage that experts say will make a room seem full which then can unintentionally limit growth.

Let’s all believe God for the house to be full of worship and worshippers!

Thanks,

Pastor Cameron

Ken and Lisa Norberg
are seeking a temporary home for their two 5-year-old Siberian forest cats. This breed typically doesn’t trigger allergies. In exchange for sheltering them, Lisa would do housecleaning. Ideally, the home would be a peaceful one, and the kitties would need to be separated from any other animals. The Norbergs can be reached at 323-9505 or kenslady@juno.com.

Letter from Banning Liebscher (Jesus Culture Director):

Jesus Culture is calling youth and young adults from around the Nation to gather at Allstate Arena in Chicago, August 3-5, 2011! We are inviting revivalists from all 50 States of America to converge in ONE place at ONE time – Chicago! This will be Jesus Culture’s first arena gathering and the only conference outside of Redding for 2011. I want to encourage everyone to come, for I believe God is going to release an authority on revivalists that will begin an Awakening in their regions and see something catalytic take place in our nation.

The speakers at Jesus Culture Awakening will include: Reinhard Bonnke, Bill Johnson, Lou Engle, Cindy Jacobs, Sean Smith, myself and others. The Jesus Culture Band with Kim and Chris will be leading worship as well as Jake Hamilton, and Hillsong UNITED!

I believe God is going to release an awakening on a new breed of healing revivalists who will be anointed, activated and sent back into their campuses and cities. And we will see an uncontainable fire once again come out of Chicago only this time it will ‘ignite a generation that will change the world. (For more info, visit here.)
