An Opportunity to Serve
New Day’s Children’s Ministry is in need of 3 teachers: 2 for RUSH for Second Service and 1 for Kid’s Church for First Service. This is an every-other-month commitment. Join our dynamic Children’s Ministry team and impact the next generation. No experience necessary; just a heart to serve. All interested parties contact Terra Shockley (267-7300 or terra@newdaycommunity.org). Thank you!
Buy a Shirt for a Soldier!
Nick Hays, who is currently deployed in the Army, has designed a shirt for the soldiers in his platoon. Carrie Hays would love to raise money to help cover printing costs. For just $15, you can send a soldier a shirt designed just for him! If you would like to help with this, please give the money directly to Carrie.

Orders for the November 20th distribution will be taken during Intersection and after second service October 31st and November 4th only. Please also note the new distribution time of 9:00-10:00 Saturday mornings. See Pat and Dave Musall for more info.

The Playgroup Life Group
Is collecting children’s books for children in the Philippines. Most of the kids have never seen, held, or read a book. The books can be gently used or new. The only stipulation is that the books should not be based on materialistic things (like toys) but should teach wholesome virtues and values (Christian based books would be ideal).
Donations and books will be collected in the Family Room through November 7th. Shipping costs will be approximately $100, so monetary donations willl be accepted as well as books. Any funds collected in excess of shipping costs will be used to purchase more books. Thank you for helping us to bless these little ones!!
Thank You!!
Applause to everyone who helped us quickly vacate our three-bedroom Kalamazoo home for new owners and get situated with family in Portage. We greatly appreciate all the logistical aid, the gifts of time and muscle, and your sensitive spirits at such a demanding time. Praying abundance in blessings for each of you,
Ken and Lisa Norberg

On October 30th from 3-8 PM, enjoy hayrides, games, hog roast, chili cook-off, bonfire, costume contest, potluck, and more! This is a great opportunity to invite friends to meet your New Day family in a laid back, fun environment! Flyers with a map to the Dillenbeck’s farm are available at the Connection Counter.
There are many ways you can still be involved. We are in need of CANDY donations for gift bags for the children attending. We also still need lots of help with clean up and tear down afterwards, and adults willing to take turns supervising the bouncers. Don’t forget to bring your potluck dish to the party, and wear your costume—there will be prizes!!
