Exploring Membership Meeting
January 11 is the date of the next Exploring Membership Meeting for all who would like more information about New Day. This gathering includes lunch after church. Please sign up on the Connection Card today to reserve your space.
Kids Church Luncheon
Save the date! January 25th will be a Kids Church Workers appreciation luncheon.
No Kingdom Experience
Due to the holidays there will be no Kingdom Experience this month.
Communion
Next week is Communion Sunday. The children will remain in the adult worship service until they are dismissed to Kid’s Church.
Life Group Highlight
Evie and Dan Jefferies are leaders for the Life Group, “Knowing the Reason for Your Faith”. Evie states that this discussion based group, “has caused people who haven’t thought about this topic to strengthen their views. For others who have great interest in it, they have an outlet with discussion and sharing their common interest with others. As well, this has been a forum and an opportunity for people who are not Christians”. Interest in this group has proven that people are hungry to search out and discuss the big questions of life. Thanks to Evie & Dan for leading this group!

Christmas with Kids Church
The children will be in the main worship service until they are dismissed after their Christmas Presentation today.
Christmas Eve Caroling
Bill & Sue Padgham are hosting a Christmas Eve caroling party for anyone who is interested. Meet at the Padghams home at 736 Axtell St. at 6:30pm. Caroling will be at a local nursing home and then back to the Padghams for snacks and fellowship. RSVP to 344-1993 and bring a snack to share.

Merry Christmas
Sunday (12/21/08) we will celebrate the message of Christmas. The Children’s Ministry will do a short presentation for the congregation and we will have a special song by Dianne Lindauer!

Communion Sunday
This Sunday is Communion. We will enjoy worship with the children and they will be dismissed to Kids’ Church afterward.
Family Christmas Party
New Day is hosting a Family Christmas Part on December 13th at 6:30pm. The party will include a catered dinner from Farm House Bakery. If you would like to attend please RSVP on the connection Card to reserve your space.
New Day Camping Trip
ND Camping Trip for 2009 will be July 17-19 at Van Buren State Park. This is your last chance to sign up on the Connection Card to reserve a campsite.

Grand River Church Fundraiser
Grand River Church is selling cookbooks as a fundraiser for a missions trip to Nicaragua to feed the poor. The cookboos are $10. Give them as a gift for Christmas!! You can find them on a table near the sanctuary entrance. Make checks payable to New Day.
Angel Food
Today is the last chance to place an order for December. See Pat & Dave Musall in the Family Room after the service. Distribution Day is December 20th from 10-11am for those who are interested in volunteering.
